Learn Guitar Online, Led Zeppelin - 3 Tips to Start Climbing Your Stairway to Guitar Heaven
Stairway To Heaven is without doubt one of the popular and memorable guitar pieces ever recorded. Led Zeppelin recorded this song on November 8th, 1971 and it has since become a type of national anthem for guitarist's worldwide.
Imagine walking into a guitar centre and yelling out "can anyone play Stairway To Heaven?" Immediately almost every guitar player in the store would leap on the nearest guitar and try to knock
out their version of "Stairway".
In fact it so many budding guitarists "try" to play Stairway To Heaven" that it has become a industry joke, some music shops only half jokingly even display a sign with the "No, Stairway To Heaven" message made popular on the "Wayne's world" movie.
All jokes aside, Stairway To Heaven has become a reference point of competence for budding guitarist's. If you can play a reasonable recognizable rendition of this song it's a status symbol of the upwardly mobile guitarist.
Thousands of guitar players have played this song, however very few know much about the song itself (apart from all the media PR stories).
Here is three tips to get you started on your own stairway to guitar heaven:
Tip 1: Learn to play the melody.
The melody is the tune of the song, that's the part that Robert Plant is singing, the majority of guitar players play the introduction from TAB. Listen to the lyric and try to find the pitch of the notes that the singer is singing.
Stairway To Heaven's melody is based on the "A natural minor" or Aeolian mode, containing the following notes: A,B,C,D,E,F,G. If you confine yourself to these notes you will be able to find the
melody.
Here are the first notes of the melody: A,B,C ...B,A,B ...A,B,C,D,C,B,A etc...
By the way while we're talking about learning the melody for Stairway To Heaven, did you know that the melody is based on an old traditional Irish tune written in the 1850's?
Tip 2: Practice chromatic bass lines.
Stairway To Heaven's introduction is built over a chromatic descending bass line. This bass line is the backbone of the song, it's this reason the introduction grabs your attention and keeps
it!
Try playing these notes A, Ab,G, Gb, F against the opening chords, let each note ring for two beats ... that's your descending bass line. To match the pitch of the descending line on the recording start on the note "A" on the 7th fret 4th string and move chromatically down that string.
To hear the recorded guitar part more clearly, try adjusting the balance control so you can only hear the left stereo channel, as the guitar is mixed to that side.
Chromatic bass lines are common devices used by successful songwriters, an example of an ascending bass line would be the song "Ain't Misbehavin'" a jazz standard from 1937, another example of a descending bass line could be "Don't walk Away Renee", Left Banke (1966).
Tip 3: Use the A minor pentatonic scale.
Throughout the solo the A minor pentatonic scale is used almost exclusively: A, C, D, E , G
The only exception to this being when the F (b6) is played as either part of the melodic line or accented over the F chord. The inclusion of this F results in an overall note content of: A,C,D,E,F,G.
As you can see the musical raw materials used to create "Stairway To Heaven" have been around a long time, it's how they were assembled that makes them interesting.

Car Amplifiers - What Are They?
Is the sound quality on your car stereo at best, awful? But uncertain what to do about it? It's about time you invest in an amplifier for your stereo, but what are they exactly?
Most of us have little knowledge when it comes to electronics, hence, it can be very difficult for those of us who are not in on this 'loop of knowledge' to know what to exactly purchase. Often going up to the sales assistant for advice is a task that at least makes one sweat, as the sales assistant tries to sell you extra products that you will probably not want or need. Going into a shop with even a little knowledge is certainly better than going in naive and unarmed.
Car stereos are these days not the simplest of electronics, as they have a number of gadgets that are designed to improve sound quality - one of these being the amplifier. This is a separate system from your stereo, which aims to amplify audio signals when the cars' stereo's amplification is insufficient. It strengthens the audio signal when driving, so that the sound is at an appropriate level for car speakers when driving.
Amplifiers or amps, as they have been appropriately shortened to, are classified under the number of channels they have. A channel is one power or speaker output of an amplifier. Most people who want a reasonable signal and sound quality will go for either a two to four channel amp, whilst those with a specialist interest in car stereos will choose a amp with a bigger number of channels, as the more channels you have the more adds on and gadgets you can have.
When considering purchasing an amplifier it is highly important to ask questions about the amps efficiency and power. By efficiency, I mean how efficiently the amp consumes and distributes energy. For instance, an amp might consume 100 watts of power from the battery, and only distribute half of this to the speakers, whilst the rest is transformed into heat. In the amps specifications, it will tell you the minimum and maximum output of energy as well as the power output (in ohms).
Amplifiers are also classified into A, A/B,B and D. These divisions refer to the way the amp operates, for instance class A are inefficient power consumers but the sound output is generally better. These are, however, rarer than their counterparts. The most common amp is the A/B class - a highly efficient amp that provides excellent quality sound output. Whilst, a class D is the most efficient model, reaching up to 80% efficiency, and is often combined with highly inefficient subwoofers, so that the stereo and its additional equipment don't use too much battery power. An amp is one part of a car audio system, however it is not necessary, unless you want subs and in turn, overall better sound quality.

Long journeys by car can be very tedious for everyone, but no more so than for children.
Kids can easily get bored with sitting stuck in the back seat of the car on longer trips. If you're planning to travel for more than a couple of hours, or over a hundred miles, then consider in advance how you'll keep your children entertained and happy. There's nothing worse than the feeling of being trapped in a car on a motorway when your children are bickering, screaming and crying in the back fro sheer boredom.
Traditional Games or DVD Entertainment
Car trips should be fun for all the family and a time that you're altogether and can bond. But even the most patient of travellers can become restless and bored. Traditional family games that can be played in the car are Eye Spy, verbal word games, and you can also take along paper and pens, for hang man or noughts and crosses. Books and some of the magnetic travel game versions of larger family board games. Scrabble and Battleship will keep the children happy for a certain length of time depending on their age, but it's always a great asset to have an in-car entertainment system too.
Make sure your DVD entertainment system has inbuilt speakers but also have external headphones so that any noise does not distract the concentration of the driver.

Network Marketing Tips - 3 Easy Ways to Create Rock Solid Belief in Yourself That You Can Succeed!
Do you have a network marketing business, but are finding it difficult to find success? It could very well be less in the fact that you don't know what you're doing, and more in the fact that deep inside you truly don't believe that you can succeed. If that's the case then you definitely need to read through this article and discover ways of breaking through that barrier.
Why YOU Can Succeed with a Network Marketing Business...
Many people struggle in this business and can't figure out why. After all, they study every aspect of the business, they know it inside and out, but just can't seem to break through that barrier.
Well in the 24 years that my wife Ann Feinstein and I have been training and mentoring people to success in this business we've noticed something very profound. We took notice that we were giving our team members exactly everything that they needed to succeed. Basically we were handing the keys to the vault to anyone who joined our organization.
We had a system that we'd perfected, and everyone gets the same system which basically contains everything that we know. But yet while thousands did end up succeeding, many others didn't. We wanted to know why everyone wasn't seeing the same success with their network marketing business. Then we figured out a major problem. Those not succeeding didn't think that they could succeed for one reason or another. They didn't have the belief that THEY could succeed.
So I want to therefore give you...
3 Easy Ways to Create the Self Belief that You Need to Succeed with Your Network Marketing Business...
1) If I Can Do It...You Can Do It - Too many people give me, and the many others that have succeeded in Network Marketing more credit than we deserve when it comes to us succeeding in network marketing. None of use have any sort of special powers. In fact a lot of the people who have succeeded have done so despite of their abilities...and I'm saying that in the nicest way I can think of. In other words some people who don't seem like they could succeed their way out of a paper bag do exceptionally well in this business.
How does that happen? They believe without a doubt that they can do it. Why do they believe it? Because they keep seeing other succeeding in network marketing so they figure why the heck can't they?
2) Start Taking Action Anyway - So right now you don't totally believe that you can succeed with your network marketing business? Who cares! Just start taking massive action toward success and you'll be surprised how quickly your attitude changes. You see most people won't start until all the lights are green...which means most people won't start ever. But something magical happens to your attitude when you take action and start seeing results. Your level of belief begins to rise because you're seeing small success that always lead to bigger and bigger successes. You don't need to know everything or have everything in order, just start already.
3) Give Yourself a Pep Talk - It's important that you keep yourself motivated and moving forward. It's much too easy to fall into the trap of self-doubt. Instead tell yourself that you're doing great every morning and that nothing will happen unless you keep pushing. Amp yourself up daily and you'll soon start seeing that network marketing business success coming your way.
But What If I Don't Know Which Action to Take? You may be stuck at a point where you don't know what to do next with your network marketing business. That's okay. If you'd like to get step-by-step mentoring on how to succeed with your business from two very successful top trainers in the industry, who themselves have a global downline nearing 60,000 then click here now!

The Fine Art of Finding the Best Cell Phone Buy
In the last few years, cell phones have become so versatile that the once simple act of buying a cell phone can seem almost impossible. Even more, the thought of finding the best cell phone buy among all the possibilities seems even more impossible...it that's possible!
It is true that with so many cell phones and so many cell phone services, finding the best cell phone and cell phone service to buy is daunting. Arming yourself in advance with some basic data and expectations, might just make the experience a little easier.
Possibly more important than the cell phone itself is the selection of the service provider. In fact, many different providers offer the same cell phones with the purchase of their cellular phone service package. With all the names, big and small, it can be a daunting task to wade through their individual offers.
First, there are the numerous and varied providers themselves. As this is written, you can choose among Cingular Wireless, Sprint, Nextel Communications, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless among the big companies. While the smaller companies such as Alltel, Metro PCS, Amp'd Mobile, and U.S. Cellular tend to sometimes more regional, their services may still provide what you need at a cost you can afford, and cost is a major consideration for many.
However, no matter which cellular phone service you eventually pick, you will need to look into such things as roaming, amounts of minutes, when minutes can be used, and the coverage area. These are important factors when selecting a cell phone service provider, and it is a good idea to sit down and make a list of such things as how many minutes you think you will need, where will you be using your cellular phone, what will you be using it for, who will you be communicating with, and what features you would like it to have.
Here is a partial list of features you might want to consider when buying your next cell phone. Does it have or need to have an external screen or caller ID; can you store phone numbers and save text messages? Does it even support text messaging? How about instant messaging and email features? You might feel you need a camera phone, and, if you do, you need to know how many pictures can you take and store, whether or not you can take video, and if you can send those pictures to others.
You might want a speaker phone or a phone with the ability to make conference calls. If you do want a speaker phone, you will have to decide if you need a full-duplex speaker phone. This feature will allow both you and your caller to speak more naturally at the same time as if in a normal conversation.
Many businesses find cellular phones with Push-To-Talk capability to be of value because this walkie-talkie feature allows employees and management to instantly reach others in their group without having to place a telephone call. Close friends and family members often appreciate this feature as well. Another feature that a business user might look for is the ability to connect to, and interact with, other devices. Newer cell phones provide such Buck Rogers type abilities as power point presentations.
In addition to the performance features of your cell phone, you may want ask yourself what kind of cell phone person YOU are. Many people just need a basic cell phone and basic cell phone service. This is what my mother-in-law has. She just wants a phone for 911 calls in an emergency and for frequent check-ins with her family as she bombs around the Arizona country side. A busy executive, on the other hand, may need all, or most all of the features available. A traveler is going to have other concerns such as whether the phone and the service will work in most of the places where they travel.
The fashion conscious may be more concerned with what the phone looks like than with performance features. Many cell phones DO have interchangeable face plates so that one can accessorize if necessary. In addition to the abiity to communicate in walkie-talkie fashion, my two daughters love this feature!
Once you have figured out your wants, needs, and budget, then the real fun begins. There are places, particularly in large metropolitan areas, where you can pick through a myriad of cell phones and cell phone services, and generally competent staff can help you pick the best combination of features and costs.
Today, it seems that every street corner, mall, or strip mall has a big sign screaming Cingular, Verizon, and I am seeing more Metro PCS in my neck of the woods. Most of the time, however while the cell phones offered and the services may be quite good, you will be limited to what that particular storefront or kiosk is prepared to offer. Often, comparing rates, service areas, features and so on means driving to several different locations and getting sales spiels from several different businesses. Then YOU get to go home, figure out what you really want, and then go back to one or more of those businesses to place your order.
Fortunately, particularly for those in isolated areas, there are websites where you can shop for and buy a cell phone online and just have it shipped to you. It generally arrives in a few days and these are the same cellular phones and services that you would find if you went to a physical location in New York City, Sacramento, or Dallas. In fact, some online distributors have special sales and offers that may not be available in town or at the mall. Another factor is that many of these sites allow you to compare the phones, the features, the service details, and the costs of several different offers at one website.
Another factor is that while I personally have often found knowledgeable and helpful representatives who operated in my best interests in storefront operations, these service sponsored kiosks and stores are sometimes trying to make the best cell phone buy...for themselves. Internet operations have much less overhead, employee salaries, rent and so on, that they often can afford to just put the options up for you to browse through at your leisure. You view all the info in the comfort of your home, make your selection, fill in a few blanks and a few days later you have a new cell phone delivered to your home or office.
Whether you like driving around and talking to sales people or if you like the convenience of shopping online, finding the best cell phone buy is going to depend on you doing your homework in advance.

20 Songs You Should Never Play on a Road Trip
Good road trip songs promote travel and save you from listening to scary preachers reminding you that you will go to hell if you don't donate money. But for every fun song that reminds you of the glory of the open road, there's a completely inappropriate counterpart that will have you searching for the nearest (legal) U-turn that leads back home. Here are 20 songs you should NEVER play on a road trip...
20. Any Song by The Crash Test Dummies
We've all seen footage of crash test dummies contorting into a pretzel after their car slams into a wall. I really don't want to imagine that while I'm driving. What I want even less is to hear that annoying melody to "Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm Mmmm". Canada is known for many great things... this band isn't one of them.
19. "Bridge Over Troubled Water" - Simon And Garfunkel
I don't like driving over bridges. I especially don't like driving on bridges over troubled water. What's really disconcerting is knowing that 26% of the bridges in the U.S. are "either structurally deficient or functionally obsolete".
18. "Don't Fear The Reaper" - Blue Oyster Cult
Yes, we need more cowbell. No, we don't need to be reminded of death while some D-Bag in a Supra cuts us off at 110mph.
17. "All By Myself" - Eric Carmen
The last thing you want to do is play the ultimate break-up song on your road trip. Watch how quickly the conversation goes from pop culture trivia to reminiscing about ex-lovers that done you wrong. Play this song on a road trip and your car WILL turn into a mobile therapist's office.
16. "Stan" - Eminem
Besides the fact that the song is about a crazy dude who drives his car off a bridge with his girlfriend in the trunk... I don't think I've ever heard a song that builds with so much tension and anger to the point where it's hard to focus on what I'm doing. That's not helpful particularly helpful when driving. And the worst part is, this disturbing song is long.
15. "Bat Out Of Hell" - Meatloaf
It seems like a good idea to listen to a 9 minute and 50 second song to pass the time, but not when the song ends with a biker crashing and bleeding to death in a ditch. If there's anything more frightening than black ice or blind curves, it's biker gangs.
14. "Through The Wire" - Kanye West
Kanye recorded this song two weeks after being in a near fatal car crash. If it's a little hard to understand what he's saying, that's because he's singing with a broken jaw that's been wired shut. Although some of us wish he would have stayed that way, I guess I'd rather endure "Gold Digger" for the ten thousandth time while on the road.
13. "Dust In The Wind" - Kansas
Do I want a reminder about the fragility of life? That one day I'll die and turn into nothing but dust? No, not when I'm driving. While you're at it, why don't you remind us that 115 people die every day from car crashes in the U.S. Because that's a totally appropriate thing to do.
12. "Car Crash" - Courtney Love
What's worse: listening to a song called "Car Crash"... or listening to Courtney Love?
11. "It's Dangerous Walking Out Your Front Door" - Underoath
When I embarrass my travel mates with terrible singing, I tend to do it to songs with catchy lyrics. Not songs with lyrics like: "I thought it would be so much quicker than this / Pain has never been so brilliant / I made sure you were buckled in / Now you can walk hand in hand with him". Aw, don't you just love a song with a happy ending?
10. "What A Wonderful World" - Louis Armstrong
Some people will say this is one of the most beautiful songs ever made. To those people I ask: have you ever heard this song in a cheery context? Let me answer for you: NO! Any time you ever hear this song, somebody is about to die. When was the last time you heard this song in a movie and it wasn't juxtaposed against some adorable old lady on her death bed or pictures of 9/11 or something? If you hear this song on the road, the odds of getting into a car crash skyrocket. Total funeral song.
9. "Hurt" - Nine Inch Nails
When you're on the road, you just want to listen to a song that's fun and loud and upbeat. This isn't that song. The slow pace, the sound of an icy wind and the lyrics of despair make this arguably the most depressing song ever. Not only is this song a Certified Mood Killer, it'll officially put half the car on suicide watch, so hide all sharp objects.
8. "Tonight Is The Night I Fell Asleep At The Wheel" - Barenaked Ladies
The last thing I want to hear after cracking the windows and downing a 5-Hour Energy Shot to stay awake is anything about falling asleep at the wheel. Also not approved: talking about the most comfortable bed you've ever slept on.
7. "My Heart Will Go On" - Celine Dion
It's an absolute fact* that this is the most annoying song ever. Whenever I hear this piece of crap, I just want to drive off a cliff. Don't tempt me by playing this song while I'm actually behind the wheel... especially near a cliff.
*Not a fact.
6. "Breakdown" - Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers
Tom Petty is one of those guys that evokes the freedom of road travel with songs like "Free Fallin'" and "Runnin' Down A Dream". But "Breakdown" is one of those songs you don't want on your playlist, especially if you don't have Triple-A... or you're driving a Ford. Which stands for Fix Or Repair Daily. Or Found On Road Dead.
5. "Days of Graduation" - Drive-By Truckers
I'll just let the lyrics explain why this isn't an appropriate road trip song: "Hit a telephone pole and split in two / Bobby's skull was split right in two / And my girl was pinned in her seat / partially embedded in the dashboard / And for the next twenty minutes the only sound in the night were her screams". You sure that wasn't the sound of me grunting in annoyance?
4. "Shredded Humans" - Cannibal Corpse
Wonder why you've never heard this song about humans being mutilated in a horrific car accident? Because no one wants to hear about a car crash on their commute. Hearing lyrics like "His eyeballs ejected his sight unaffected / He saw his own organs collapse" doesn't get me ready to take a long drive head on. Crap, did I just say "head on"?
3. "Road To Nowhere" - Ozzy Osbourne
With GPS, navigation systems and free driving directions on MapQuest, there's no reason you should ever drive down a road that leads to nowhere. But just because there's no reason doesn't mean it never happens.
2. "Crash Into Me" - Dave Matthews Bands
I don't want another driver thinking this song is an open invitation to play bumper cars on the highway. If the song was called "Pull Up Next To Me And Give Me A Free Sandwich" I'd be more apt to play it.
1. "Dueling Banjos" - Eric Weissberg & Steve Mandell
No other song in history has ever signaled impending doom like this one. Sure, it sounds so playful and innocent, but when you hear this song, you know you're about to enter some unsavory territory where sweaty, gun-toting hillbillies in overalls are selling opossum on the side of a dirt road, just eager to turn a lost city folk like you into a squealing piggy. Not cool. If anyone ever plays this song on a road trip, even as a joke, you have full permission to kick them out of the car without even slowing down.

iPhone Extras - As If Its Features Are Not Enough
Even before the release of the iPhones, it was already making a huge noise. People were just expecting great things about it. Now just a few months after its launch you have perhaps started hearing and finding out about some iPhone extras.
Small Things That Mean So Much
A lot of concern has been heard about sending multimedia messages such as sending pictures and sending video clips. Perhaps you were one of those people who immediately missed this feature. Perhaps you were so used to the send picture feature of your previous cellular phone. You would have expected the same with the phone. After all this is a more advanced phone than your last one, right? Well, there is a way; it's just that it is not labeled multimedia messaging. You can also send the pictures and video clips on the phone and you can do so through email.
If you have the picture you want to send now, use the send photo link. Then enter your friend's number followed by his carrier's email prefix. If you don't know his carrier then simply ask him. Verizon's email prefix is vzpix.com, AT&T/Cingular's mms.att.com and then tmomail.net for T-Mobile. It's messaging.sprintpcs.com for Sprint/Nextel, vmobl.net for Virgin Mobile, vzwpix.com for Amp'd Mobile and messaging.alltel.com for Alltel. So if your friend's mobile number is 1234567890 and he's connected with Sprint, send the picture to 1234567890@messaging.sprintpcs.com. He doesn't need to have an email enabled phone. As long as he can receive multimedia messages then he will be able to receive it.
Another thing is if you've got an iPhone, perhaps you also have an iPod. If you are wondering if your existing accessories can still be used when you get the phone, some are actually compatible. For one, you can use your earphones on the phone. However, even a better set comes with the phone.
While you can use your old ear buds for listening music, it doesn't have a microphone to receive calls. You would have to change earphones when calls come in. That would be a hassle on your part. The earphones that come with your phone will enable you to listen to music and still have conversations when calls come in. If you are listening to music when someone calls, the music will be paused and you can get the call.
With the Bluetooth earphones, you wouldn't have to be holding your phone when you are driving. Both of your hands will be free to drive and you will be able concentrate on the road. But to add more safety to driving, you can also get a Blueant Supertooth II Speakerphone. It's a speakerphone so you will not be restricted to look at different directions when driving. It's built with noise cancelling microphone so you will surely be heard clearly at the other end.
iPhone applications can help make your business more efficient. One is Just Add Money Express Tracker. Through this application you will see as another expense is disbursed. There would be easy monitoring on your part. And if you hook all key decision makers in your company, you will help them make better and sounder financial decisions. iPod extras really help.
